AgreenaCarbon Combined Project
Helping farmers transition to regenerative agriculture in 10 European counties
Headquartered in Denmark, Agreena is powering the global transition to regenerative agriculture, operating Europe's leading soil carbon programme. Through its flagship AgreenaCarbon project, which is the first large-scale agricultural cropland initiative registered under Verra's world-renowned Verified Carbon Standard, Agreena collaborates with thousands of farmers across 4.5 million hectares of arable land in 20 markets. s Agreena finances farmers’ transition to sustainable practices, measures and verifies the climate impact with field-level accuracy, and offers climate solutions to corporates to achieve their sustainability goals. Uniquely, Agreena’s holistic solution combines proprietary digital measurement, reporting, and verification (dMRV) capabilities, leveraging AI and satellite imagery to unlock nature-based solutions at scale with ground-level accuracy. Buying credits from Agreena offers buyers two major advantages: the ability to select country-specific impact and the option to choose between removal and reduction impact.

Regenerative Practices in action - across Europe's leading soil carbon programme.
Niels is a ninth-generation farmer in Denmark. For him, soil health is the foundation of a resilient future. By adopting regenerative practices, he is reducing risk, protecting yields, and securing his farm for the next generation. Regenerative agriculture's advantages extend far beyond the field: it enhances water quality, ensures critical soil preservation, boosts biodiversity, and can even improve food quality by increasing nutrient density. This approach also ensures more carbon is captured and the farm contributes to global climate solutions.

The AgreenaCarbon Project is Europe's first large-scale soil carbon project validated by Earthood and verified by Verra - and it’s already having a huge impact. Each carbon credit has been powered by our incredible farmers, who have placed their trust in us and embarked on the transition to regenerative agriculture. The carbon now sequestered in their soils, across more than a million hectares, is helping companies compensate for their hard-to-abate emissions, with compliance-ready results that can be reported today.
Edward, Tony and Thomas are three generations of one farming family in the UK. They share how regenerative agriculture is protecting their soil, securing their farm’s future, and helping them innovate for the next generation. Their story is about more than carbon - it is about resilience, legacy, and passing on a viable farm to those who come after.
